Matt Dusing has served as the Director of Human Resources for Capital Planning and Facilities (CPF) at Indiana University since August 2025. In this role, he serves as an embedded director collaborating with CPF senior leadership to develop and execute human capital strategies. He offers guidance to both union and non-union employees regarding employee relations, benefit utilization, and professional development. Additionally, Matt serves as the interim HR Director for Indiana University East.

With over 18 years of strategic leadership experience, Matt has a proven background in managing HR functions across complex sectors, including academia, global manufacturing, government, and hospitality. His expertise includes talent acquisition, organizational design, executive coaching, and large-scale transformation initiatives. Prior to joining IU, he served as the Director of Human Resources for Franklin College, his alma mater.

Matt also spent several years in leadership at KYB Americas Corporation, where he championed efficiency programs that saved the organization over $1.5 million. Earlier in his career, he served as an Executive HR Director for the State of Indiana Personnel Department, where he oversaw ADA and protected class investigations and developed healthcare initiatives that significantly reduced state costs.


Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts from Franklin College.
